  • Oklahoma - Waynoka Depot Museum
    The history of Waynoka is unique and fascinating, beginning when the Santa Fe Railroad was built across northwest Oklahoma in 1886. Waynoka, then called Keystone, had the first post office in the Cherokee Outlet in its depot. The Outlet was opened for settlement in 1893 with the greatest land run in history. Because of the abundance of good water needed for the steam locomotives, the railroad expanded its operations at Waynoka until it had the largest rail yards in Oklahoma, and the largest ice plant in the United States. In 1910 the present depot and Harvey House were built. Harvey Houses were fine restaurants built along the Santa Fe line to feed rail passengers. Both the depot and Harvey House are on the National Register of Historic Places.

  • Oklahoma State Capital Publishing Museum
    The museum is located in the historic State Capital Publishing Company building constructed in 1902. This building was the fourth home of the State Capital Company which was organized in 1889 just prior to the first Oklahoma Land Run. Located in downtown Guthrie, the structure was one of the first in Oklahoma to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
