  • End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center
    The End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center was built in 1995 on the former Donation Land Claim of the first elected governor of the Oregon Country, George Abernethy. A merchant and miller by trade, Abernethy had a vested interest in the continued growth of Oregon City, so he permitted newly arrived emigrants to park their wagons, graze their oxen, and set up camp on a meadow behind his house.

  • Oregon - Chinese House Railroad Museum
    A Chinese laborer bunkhouse from around 1883, the museum features railroad artifacts from Echo and the Fort Henrietta archaeological site.

  • Oregon - Depot Park and DeWitt Museum
    This historic building, once the western terminus for the Sumpter Valley Railroad, now houses 10 rooms of pioneer memorabilia from Grant County's early days. The Sumpter Valley Railroad operated between Baker and Prairie City, Oregon between 1891 and 1947, carrying gold ore, lumber, cattle, passengers and supplies. A SVRR boxcar is located on the grounds next to the depot.

  • Oregon - Willamette Shore Trolley
    An Incomparable Trolley on the Scenic Rail Line Between Portland and Lake Oswego The right-of-way of the Willamette Shore Trolley was first established in 1885-1887 as the Portland and Willamette Valley Railroad. It was later purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad. The line was electrified in 1914 and passenger traffic hit its peak in 1920 with SP running 64 Red Electrics to and from Portland and Lake Oswego daily. Passenger service ended in 1929, while freight continued until 1983. In 1984, SP was granted permission to abandon the line. Instead, it has become a non-profit service operated by Oregon Electric Railway Historical Soc.. The Lake Oswego station is on State at A Street and the Portland terminus is 3 blocks south of Riverplace. Charter and group rates are available.

  • The Latimer Quilt & Textile Museum
    As a living arts center, the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center (LQTC) hosts activities related to its mission. The Center provides encouragement, networking, work space, and resources for regional textile groups and artists. Visitors are able to watch these artists create textiles as they tour the facility.
