Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra The Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra was established in 1956 to further the musical capabilities of students from area elementary, middle and high schools. The FSYO helps young musicians achieve the highest level of performing skills; nurture productive, adaptive and disciplined music and personal skills; sponsor an appreciation for international culture through exchange; serves as an adjunct to other educational programs and enhance future opportunities for its members in a lifestyle encompassing the arts.
Florida West Coast Symphony Florida West Coast Symphony, Inc. is a unique, multi-faceted organization, which embraces a dual commitment to both performance and education within the highest standards of symphonic and chamber music. Its performing ensembles and programs include the Florida West Coast Symphony, the Sarasota Music Festival, the Florida West Coast Chamber Orchestra, four resident chambers ensembles (Florida String Quartet, New Artists Piano Quartet, Florida Brass Quintet and Florida Wind Quintet), and one of the most extensive education programs of any orchestra in the country.
Florida Youth Orchestra Since 1988 the Florida Youth Orchestra (formerly the Youth Orchestra of Florida) has been providing the highest quality classical music education for young talented musicians ages 6-20. Now over 200 members strong, the Orchestra continues today to celebrate a 12 year tenure as the only Youth Orchestra endorsed and assisted by the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra.
Gainsville Symphony Orchestra The Gainesville Symphony Orchestra was founded by a group of local musicians in 1983. Dr. Raymond Chobaz, conductor of the University of Florida Orchestra, was invited to be the Music Director and Conductor of the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra. In 1995, the Orchestra's name changed to the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra reflecting more accurately its size and stature. The Orchestra consists of professional musicians from the community and some gifted university and high school students.

New World Symphony The New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy, trains the most gifted graduates of distinguished music programs for leadership positions in orchestras and ensembles around the world. Established in 1987 under the artistic direction of Michael Tilson Thomas, the symphony is structured as an intensive three-year fellowship program, drawing its 85 members through highly competitive national auditions. Tampa Bay Symphony The Tampa Bay Symphony was founded in 1986 as a non profit, tax exempt corporation. All of the orchestra's 90+ musicians are volunteers. The profits from the orchestra's operations are used to provide scholarships for the winners of the annual "Young Artist' Competition". The first winner of this competition is now an assistant professor of music at a major university. Located in Florida.
Tampa Bay Symphony - Young Artist Competiion Each year, the Tampa Bay Symphony sponsors a competition for area young artists. Applicants must be an instrumentalist, including pianists, up to age 21. Competition finalists will receive certificates of accomplishment, and perform at a public audition to determine the winner. Located in Florida.
