    The Main Line Symphony Orchestra rehearses and performs in the Valley Forge Intermediate School, Walker Road and Valley Forge Road, Wayne, Pennsylvania. Twenty miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia, Wayne is in Chester County, in the Delaware Valley region of southeastern Pennsylvania. We give three subscription concerts each year, normally in November, March, and May. We are an all-volunteer community orchestra, with an eclectic membership.

    In 1980, a group of local musicians not only wanted to play symphonic music, but also wanted to build an appreciation for both traditional and modern orchestral music in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Thus was the Schuylkill County Orchestra born. From rehearsals in a church basement and one concert a year at the church, to the three-concert subscription series attended by hundreds and extensive educational and family and youth-oriented activities, the orchestra has grown far beyond its original goals.

    Considered one of the finest orchestras in Pennsylvania, the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1969 by local musicians and community leaders. Their goal was to establish and build a community-based orchestra of the highest possible caliber. The orchestra performs a wide a variety of symphonic repertory and it features international guest soloists as well as rising stars.

  • Young People's Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley
    The Young People's Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania is a performing educational organization. It provides an opportunity for capable young musicians in the Lehigh Valley area to come together regularly to study and perform major symphonic literature. This year the Young People's Philharmonic is comprised of two orchestras: a senior orchestra of approximately 95 high school students forming a full, balanced symphony orchestra and a junior string orchestra of approximately 60 students in grades five through nine.
