Virginia/Dublin: DUBLIN PRESCHOOL CENTER Preschool is not “junior kindergarten.” Preschoolers’ brains take in and process information differently from kindergarteners and many kindergarten activities are inappropriate for preschoolers. Children learn best by doing. The High Scope curriculum, upon which the instruction is based, is very “hands on” oriented. During most of the day, children’s hands are occupied with a book, toy, scissors, crayon, computer mouse, or block. This allows children opportunities to express themselves artistically and creatively. Add/View Comments (0)
